Taghribnews (TNA) - Leader: Iran, Venezuela experience signals resistance only way to confront US

Receiving President of Venezuela, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to the resistance of Iran and Venezuela against the US' pressures and said the successful experience of the two countries showed that the only way to face these pressures was resistance.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution stated that Iran and Venezuela have managed to resist heavy pressures exerted by the United States.

"The successful experience of the two countries has showed that resistance is the only way to counter these pressures," Ayatollah Khamenei noted.
Referring to the victory of the Venezuelan government and people in the struggle against the United States and the comprehensive war waged against Venezuela, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution addressed Maduro that the resistance of the Venezuelan president and people is precious since it enhances the dignity and worthiness of a nation and a country and its leaders, and today the US view of Venezuela is different from the past.
Referring to the scientific and technological progress and initiatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran in recent years, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that these significant steps had been taken in a situation where the heaviest and most unprecedented sanctions and pressures were imposed on the Iranian nation which the Americans called "maximum pressure".
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that the resistance of the Iranian people led to the failure of the policy of maximum pressure, in such a way that one of the leading political officials of the United States recently used the term disgraceful defeat.
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the conclusion that can be drawn from the resistance and success of the two nations of Iran and Venezuela is that the only way to cure the pressures is to stand and resist, while cooperation and relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Bolivarian government of Venezuela should be strengthened and get closer.
Welcoming the signing of a 20-year cooperation document between Iran and Venezuela, Ayatollah Khamenei noted that it is necessary to pursue and fully implement the agreements for the long-term cooperation.
Referring to the sincere cooperation between Iran and Venezuela, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out that the two countries do not have such close relations with any other country and the Islamic Republic of Iran has shown that it takes risks in times of danger and takes the hands of its friends.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also praised Maduro's anti-Zionist stances, saying that his recent stances against the Zionist regime were correct and courageous.

In the meeting, which was also attended by President Raisi, President Maduro for his part appreciated Iran's support in the Venezuelan nation's hard struggle with the United States and said: "You came to our aid and helped us out when the Venezuelan situation was very difficult and no country was helping."
Explaining his country's difficult economic situation in recent years, the Venezuelan president added: "As your Excellency said, the Americans started a gradual and multidimensional war against our country, but we stood up and use the opportunities provided by the sanctions to start a comprehensive confrontation with the American invasion, and now the situation in Venezuela is better than a few years ago."
Referring to his talks in Tehran and the signing of a cooperation document, Maduro added: "We are designing a detailed roadmap for cooperation with Iran in various fields, especially in science and technology."
The Venezuelan president also stressed that his country considers the issue of Palestine a sacred human issue, saying: "Because of this belief, the Zionist regime is constantly plotting against Venezuela through Mossad."
