The deputy chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has said that the reopening of the embassies of Iran and Saudi Arabia can be a positive step and will facilitate the path of future negotiations.

Ebrahim Azizi, the deputy chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said: "The results of the negotiations with the Saudis depend on the approaches that we will see from Riyadh. They should not seek to secure the interests of foreigners and create insecurity in the region, they should avoid giving legitimacy to the Zionists."
