In a recent post on his Facebook account, top Egyptian cleric called al Quds land as cradle of prophets and center of their revelation.
Chairman of the Committee on Religious and Waqf Affairs of the Parliament warned of efforts to change the Arabic and Islamic identity of al-Quds and said,” Enemies are struggling to sow disagreement among Muslims and distract their attention from their major issue which is occupation of the Israeli regime.”
He stressed that Muslims should not suffice to issuing statements and condemnation or forget that the major issue include: occupation of Palestinian lands by Israeli regime, settlement expansion, occupation of al-Aqsa Mosque and also continuing excavation under al-Aqsa Mosque.
Ali Gomaa lauded al-Quds as manifestation of the Islamic and Arabic identity and said,” Victory is not far away and the city of “peace” which has turned into the city of “war” at the hands of the occupying forces will return to us.”
According to top Egyptian mufti,” If beauty has ten portions, then 9 portions are to be found in al-Quds and the remaining part is distributed across the whole world.”
