Norwegian capital Oslo has hosted Taziyeh (passion play) group at Towhid Islamic center as the mourning month of Muharram begins.

Hundreds of Shia Muslims attended “The Kind Imam” Taziyeh which performed at Tauheed Mosque in Oslo as Muharram mourning ceremonies has begun, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Comprising Iranian and Afghan players the group performed for Shia mourners from different languages and cultural background.
 
Despite diversity of languages among the Iranian, Afghan, Pakistani, Indian, Lebanese and Iraqi participants the performance was widely welcomed to a great extent.
 
“The Kind Imam” performance group comprises 12 Iranian and Afghan performers and executives.
 
The next performances by the group will be in Imam Ali (AS) Mosque in Copenhagen, Denmark, on August 3^rd, Imam Ali (AS) Mosque in Stockholm, Sweden on August 5^th, Islamic center in Helsinki on August 7^th.
 
Taziyeh is a form of traditional play illustrating the life and wars fought by Shia Imams and major Islamic figures mainly Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam and his 72 companions who rose against the tyrant ruler of his time Yazid ibn Muawiyah and martyred in the Battle of Karbala back in 680 AD.
