Secretary General of Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought hailed the objectives of the seventh Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari in an exclusive interview with Iran Press noted transcendence of world peace and stability as objective of the seventh Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan capital, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” Iran, as an advanced country in the world of Islam, has followed common and logical concepts in a bid to boost world peace.”
The cleric added,” Islam should be defined as a religion that does not support violence.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari noted,” Islamic Republic of Iran believes that unity in the world of Islam and among other religions should be pursued through peaceful coexistence.”
He slammed the west for masterminding Dash stressing that the terrorist group was a fake image of Islam created by six intelligent services from different countries only to provide a violent image of Islam.
“The fact is that Islam is the religion of kindness which respects and embraces all other religions” stressed the Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari noted that the coexistence in Iran is not merely between the Muslims but also among followers of Christianity, Jews and other religions.
He reiterated “peace and world stability” as logical and necessary methods to prevent colonial powers to misuse the disagreement between denominations and religious groups.
The interview with Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari was conducted on the sideline of the seventh Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan capital.
