Israeli regime has reportedly conducted new round of airstrikes against suburbs of the capital Damascus on Saturday morning.
Syrian national television reported that the country's air defense countered the attack by the Zionist Israeli regime in the south of Damascus.
Syrian official news agency SANA has reported, "Five soldiers were martyred in an Israeli aggression on Damascus international airport and some points in the southern countryside."
“Nearly at 12.45 a.m., the Israeli enemy carried out a missile aggression from the direction of north-eastern side of Tiberias lake, targeting Damascus international airport and some points to the south of Damascus, as the Syrian air defense repelled the aggression missile and downed most of them,” a military source told SANA in a statement.
Some local news sources say that Israeli F-35 fighters targeted the suburbs of Damascus and the airport with several missiles.
The Israeli fighter jets from time to time carry out airstrikes on targets in the east and northwest of Syria after violating the Lebanese airspace or through the occupied Golan Heights.
This regime targeted Aleppo airport a few weeks ago, making it out of service.
Before that, the Zionist regime had attacked targets in the south of Damascus.
