Huj. Shahriari felicitates new chief of Lebanon’s Jama'a al-Islamiyya
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari in his message extended congratulations on behalf of the clerics at Iranian major Islamic unity center to the Lebanese cleric hailing the efforts of former officials at the prominent Lebanese movement, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He expressed hope that the new secretary general of Islamic Community accomplishes the high objectives as the Lebanese movement.
Top Iranian cleric also called on Mohammed Takkoush to struggle in path of boosting Islamic unity, resisting against Zionist enemies and also supporting Islamic dialogue and cooperation.
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought paid tribute to former secretary generals and officials who contributed to awakening, resistance and solidarity in the Islamic nation.
Founded in 1964 in Lebanon Jamaa Islamiyya is a Sunni Islamist group established by young members of ‘Ibad al-Rahman (a.k.a. the Worshipers of the Merciful) with the aim of unifying the Arab world.
