Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought met with Turkish religious affairs representative in Iran condemning political issues behind several problems in the world of Islam.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in this meeting with Adel Bour, slammed the politicians conduct behind several disagreements among the religions, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” In fact, in many cases, what the politicians pursue in the diplomatic arena leads to issues and predicaments in the world of Islam.”
He noted the minor disagreements among scholars and academicians stressing that these disagreements rarely end in terror or Takfir (excommunication).
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought added that once religious scholars follow a solid framework, then they can also play a role in the political arena in their country.
Hujjat-ul- Islam Shahriari said,” Religion is never in pursuit of war and terror and all religions and denominations maintain respect for man’s life as the holy book of Islam says he who kills one soul has in fact killed the entire humanity.”
He touched upon the various interpretations of religion and warned the variy of interpretations should not lead to conflict though dialogues, debates and deductions are not rejected in view of Islam.
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought condemned hiring the media for desecration of sanctities and said,” The discipline of disagreement should be always maintaine.”
Turkish official also related on necessity of proximity among different Islamic denominations.
