Speaker of Iranian Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf in his speech on Sunday’s Parliament open session while slamming terrorist attack in Shiraz, touched upon recent developments in Iran and noted that people's legitimate demands must not be neglected.
"People will witness the decisive actions of the Islamic Republic against these crimes", he pointed out.
Qalibaf stressed: "The terrorist acts of Iran's enemies should not be used as an excuse to ignore the reforming protests of the people. If the political and social groups had separated their way from the riots, the enemy could not have taken the advantage of the opportunity to harm people."
"Social movements will change policies and decisions if people separate themselves from the criminals and separatists", he noted.
Of course, part of this change is reforming the governance system within the framework of the political system of the Islamic Republic, which should lead to a new governance, parliament’s speaker underlined.
Qalibaf went on to say that after establishing security and peace in the country, all officials must people's wisdom in not going along with riots should not be used as an excuse to avoid changing procedures.
At that time, it is country's officials’s turn to respond to the insight of the people with the necessary measures to improve efficiency and eliminate weaknesses in the areas of economic governance, cultural governance, social governance and political governance, he concluded.
