The head of the Supreme Audit Court met his Portuguese counterpart on the sidelines of the 24th UN/INTOSAI Symposium in Brazil calling on boosting ties between the two sides.
Mehrdad Bazrpash, head of the Supreme Audit Court of Iran who traveled to Brazil to participate in the 24th UN/INTOSAI Symposium, met with "José Tavares", President of Court of Auditors of Portugal.
He called for the expansion of bilateral relations in the field of government audit and suggested that the memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two courts is finalized and signed in the near future.
José Tavares also said: "The Court of Audit of Portugal is fully prepared to raise the joint cooperation and interaction with the Court of Audit of Iran to an acceptable level."
The President of the Portuguese Court of Auditors also called for the exchange of experts and audit committees between Iran and Portugal and the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries.
