The Organization of Islamic Cooperation welcomed today the recent UN resolutions in favor the Palestinian issue, including Palestine's decision to request a legal advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice on the existence of the Israeli colonial occupation in the territory of the State of Palestine, including Jerusalem.
OIC said that these resolutions express the commitment and support of the international community for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, demanding meanwhile the international community to exert more efforts to put in place mechanisms to enforce and implement these resolutions.
The organization said it was time to end the Israeli occupation, achieve international justice, and enable the Palestinian people to exercise their legitimate rights, including the right to return, self-determination, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
