In response to the European Union and British sanctions against Iranian individuals and entities, Nasser Kanaani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strongly condemned these sanctions and termed them baseless, illegal, and interventionist actions.

Kanaani emphasized: "The Islamic Republic will respond to these measures by relying on its national power and using its unique experiences to face the imposed challenges."
The foreign ministers of 27 European countries, in a meeting held in Brussels on Monday, approved a new package of sanctions based on which
added 29 individuals and three entities to the list of those subject to restrictive measures
