Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic, in a meeting with members of Basij (mobilization) forces on Saturday morning, rejected negotiations with the US as a solution to end the recent riots as proposed by some.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei delivered message in a meeting with a large number of Basij forces concurrent with the occasion of Basij Week stressing that negotiations with the United States is no solution as Washington does not fulfill its commitments and is in constant demand of ransom, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
“Negotiation does not solve our problem with the United States” said the Supreme Leader and added,” Only one thing will solve our problem with Washington and that is to bribe it, not once but forever.”
 
The Leader hailed the “brilliant” and “problem solver” role played by Basij forces in the imposed Iraq war and their support for the armed forces and Islamic Republic Guards Corps (IRGC).
 
Supreme Leader noted,” Basij is not merely a military organization rather stands a much higher status. Basij is a culture, a discourse, a way of thinking and a culture of serving the society and the country without any reward expectation.”
 
Ayatollah Khamenei added that presence of Basij illustrates vigor of the Islamic revolution, its liveliness, fertility and its creativity.
 
The Leader noted,” To be a Basij member necessitates to be sacrificed in order to rescue the oppressed” and added,” As you saw in the recent incidents, Basij members made sacrifices in order to prevent the nation to be bullied by rioters.”
 
“Here I urge on volunteer members of Basij to value the elite organization since it stands a high status in political geography of Muslim world,” said the Leader.
 
Ayatollah Khamenei warned of lying and forging as key strategy of the enemies and said,” They spread fake news and analysis, multiply number of killings; therefore, as the enemies are working based on fake news your mission is a Jihad for clarification.”
 
The Leader also warned of enemies struggling to dominate minds because once a nation’s mind is conquered than it will submit its land to enemies.
 
The Supreme Leader addressed the audiences saying,” Beware of enemies infiltration into Basij because a corrupt person can appear in the disguise of a clergy or a Basij member.”
 
Ayatollah Khamenei delivered the message in an address to members of Basij (mobilization) in the capital Tehran as five million other members of the elite group also attended the meeting via videoconference.
 
The meeting was held concurrent with the occasion of Basij Week marked on November 20-26.
