The supervisor of University of Islamic Denominations in Iran’s Kurdistan province hailed former president of the renowned Islamic academy, Hujjat-ul-Islam Abdulkarim Biazar Shirazi for endeavors to promote proximity and issues challenging the world of Islam during his life.
Osman Yousefi, in a ceremony held at the University of Islamic Denominations in the capital Tehran on Tuesday, praised the top Shia cleric over efforts to study into the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and holy Qur’an since early days of his education, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He also highlighted the theoretical and practical pursuit of Islamic proximity in works by the scholar and member of the Supreme council at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
Mohammad Hassan Shahangi, cultural deputy of Soroush Publication in this ceremony called Biazar Shirazi as a genius studying different fields of Islamic science.
He lauded the cleric for practical pursuit of Islamic proximity and unparalleled open-mindedness resulted by his sincere heart.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Ahmad Vaezi, member of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution said,” Hujjat-ul-Islam Biazar Shirazi let his religious findings at the service of transcending the culture of society” lauding the scholar for religious and Qur’anic studies since early youth.
Born in 1944, Hujjat-ul-Islam Abdulkarim Biazar Shirazi, is a prominent Shia cleric, scholar and author who founded Ghalam Society (The Pen Society), an association of writers in 1998. Following primary seminary educations in the city of Shiraz, he left for the holy city of Qom and Najaf and attended the classes by prominent clerics among them late Ayatollah Rouhollah Khomeini. He has written and translated more than 30 books on different Islamic and Qur’anic topics.
