Iran’s Payame Noor University (PNU) has announced readiness to admit Afghan female students banned from studying in university due to recent Taliban decision.
Bahman Zandi, director of Iran’s pubic university PNU has announced readiness to provide distance education for Afghan women banned from university due to the recent decision by the ruling Taliban authorities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He referred to a message by Egypt’s Al Azhar University condemning the decision by Taliban and added,” The new ban is in fact a disrespect for Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and holy Qur’an because it tarnishes the image of prophet of Islam for the world people.”
He said,” We announce our preparation to provide virtual education for the Afghan women who have been banned from continuing their academic studies.”
Established in 1988, Payame Noor University (PNU) is a large public university active under the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology which holds record of publishing articles per student in Iran since 2013.
