Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani stated, "Unfortunately, we are witnessing the undesirable and excessive use of all respected principles and norms in international relations by the European authorities.

 "We ask this question to the free thinkers and public opinion of the world, if those states claiming supporting human rights are really seeking to support human and universal human values and political prisoners, why are not they using political sponsorship to support thousands of oppressed Palestinian prisoners in the dreaded prisons of the Zionist regime?", the official noted.
Kanaani highlighted, "Why don't they use this capacity to support oppressed political prisoners in their allied countries who violate human rights. Why don't they use it to support the oppressed refugees of the countries of the region, Yemen, Syria, Libya, who are displaced due to the wars imposed by Europe and are in Western camps and prisons in Europe and US".
The spokesman has stressed that this is a misuse of respected legal principles and concepts, and we recommend that these actions be stopped. "This action is worthless and spoiling legal concepts   ".
