Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought met with the head of the Al-Rebat al-Mohammadi in Iraq and discussed necessity of holding regional Islamic unity conference.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in a meeting with Seyyed Abdul Qader al-Alousi highlighting key role of regional Islamic conferences in boosting solidarity among different Islamic denominations in the region, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Iranian top cleric headed a delegation of deputies at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in a visit to Iraq and meeting the religious and political figures in line with discussing a regional conference to be held in the country.
Both sides detailed their views on inviting the prominent scholars, elites and luminaries from different ethnicities to a regional Islamic unity conference to be held in the capital Baghdad.
The first regional Islamic unity conference was held in Iran’s western province of Kurdistan and was attended by a number of religious figures and elites from Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan region.
