Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has issued a message addressing top jurist Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani to offer condolences over recent passing of his wife.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari in his message expressed sympathy with the prominent Shia cleric and his bereaved family, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Senior clerics, religious and political figures have also sent separate messages to offer condolences with the senior scholar.
 
Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani (b. 1929) is among leading Shia jurists and a teacher at Qom Seminary. He is an expert in jurisprudence, theology, Qur’anic exegesis and principles of jurisprudence.
