Iranian Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has departed for Algeria to participate the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on modernization and development.
Iranian Parliament Speaker said more than 20 counterparts from Islamic countries will attend the conference to exchange views on the Islamic world's modernization, and development.
He reiterated importance of the meeting amid the recent Islamophobic acts in Europe as well as intensifying situation in the Palestinian lands.
The Islamic Republic of Iran will raise an innovative issue in this meeting under the title of the Islamic World, Solidarity for Peace and Sustainable Development, he further noted.
Referring to the joint mutual meetings with Algeria on the sidelines of the meeting, he reiterated that Africa is one of the most important cultural and economic opportunities in the Muslim world today.
