People in the Gaza Strip are struggling with electricity deficit, the Palestinian Electricity Distribution Company announced.

The energy deficit across the besieged Gaza has come amid the winter and an increased demand for energy.
 
Director of the company’s media and public relations Mohammad Thabet tol Al-Aqsa Radio that the demand for energy exceeds the available supply and has left impact on the electricity supply schedule.
 
“What we have is half of Gaza’s energy needs,” he added, affirming that the political and economic situation in Gaza is very difficult.
