Al-Azhar top mufti, Sheikh Ahmad al-Tayyeb, has issued a message to congratulate arrival of 15th of Sha’ban and anniversary of changing Qibla (praying direction of Muslims).
Sheikh Ahmad al-Tayyeb, in a post published on his Facebook account felicitated the world Muslims on anniversary of changing Qibla from al-Aqsa Mosque to al-Haram Mosque expressing hope that the Islamic nation boosts its might, security and honor, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Top cleric expressed hope that Almighty God revives the security and high status of Muslims.
Sheikh Ahmad al-Tayyeb also hailed solidarity of professors and students at al-Azhar with Rohingya Muslims who survived the massive blaze at refugee camp in Bangladesh.
Nearly 2,000 homes burnt and 12,000 Rohingya Muslims have been displaced as a result of massive fire at refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar on March 5th.
