Int’l Islamic Unity Conference to launch website

13 Mar 2023 - 10:20

International Islamic Unity Conference will launch its electronic website in order to issue and pursue the proposals at the annual meeting.

The International Islamic Unity Conference in Baghdad ended its work with the communique as participants proposed establishment of a website named after the event “International Islamic Unity Conference” with the aim of pursuing the proposals at the annual meeting, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The Muslim scholars also proposed launching a permanent committee to pursue the plans and decisions by institutions at the conference and management of all projects.

Muslim scholars attending the Baghdad international conference also stressed importance of returning to the Islam originally introduced by Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

They underlined the responsibility of the Muslim elites across the world of Islam to contain the extremist thoughts calling people to violence, homicide and Takfir (excommunication).

Still in another part of the final statement by the International Islamic Unity Conference held in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, the Shia and Sunni clerics warned of intrigues and threats in line with materialization of peace and security.

The statement also highlighted the issue of Palestine as the major concern in the world of Islam and that establishment of peace and stability in the region is impossible before putting an end to the demolition and brutal aggressions by the illegal Israeli regime.

Hundreds of prominent Shia and Sunni scholars attended the International Islamic Unity Conference held in Baghdad on Saturday. The meeting was held in line with the annual Islamic Unity Conference held by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
