The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kuwait has said that the restoration of Tehran-Riyadh relations is underway and both sides have a high desire for bilateral cooperation.
For this purpose, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Beijing last Wednesday at the head of a delegation, and after meeting with his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, they signed a joint statement on Thursday.
In this regard, Mohammad Irani, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kuwait, stated that the process of reviving relations between Riyadh and Tehran is progressing strongly, emphasizing the common desire of the two countries to open the doors of cooperation in various fields.
In a statement to Kuwait's Al-Qabas newspaper, Irani said that the opening date of the embassies of the two countries has not yet been determined, but preparations are underway and the date will be announced soon.
The ambassador of Iran to Kuwait added: "The process of improving relations, frequent contacts and mutual invitations between the ministers of the two countries continues, and the efforts of both sides to resolve tensions and concerns in various fields are ongoing based on a clear formula that will satisfy both sides."
