Secretary of human rights affairs criticized the western countries for turning into a safe haven for the terrorist groups while blaming Iran of supporting such organizations.
Kazem Gharibabadi, in a meeting with Patriarch Mar Awa Royel, leader of the Catholicos-patriarch of the Assyrian church of the east stressed the sacred religions as the origin of human rights, reported Taghrib News Agency (TNA).
He condemned the western countries for turning into a safe haven for the terrorist groups while blaming Iran of doing so.
Iranian top official referred to the 400 churches, the majority of which active, across Iran and said,” This is while the claimants of human rights do not authorize construction of a mosque.”
Kazem Gharibabadi added,” We do not have religious minorities in Iran since the following of such religions together with the Muslims make up the Iranian nation and the body of Iran.”
Patriarch Mar Awa Royel said,” Islam and Christianity both stress human dignity and human rights.
He called the Assyrian community in Iran as the loyal children of the country.
The leader of the catholicos-patriarch of the Assyrian church of the east has met with a number of prominent religious and political figures in Iran.
