Iran envoy to Beirut assured that Tehran is to the side of justice as far as Iran's stance on the International Tribunal Court is concerned.
"We affirmed our position previously about the Court, and we announced that we are with justice away from politicization and this position a basic principle of Iran and will not change, " Qhazanfar Roknabadi, Iran's ambassador to Beirut said in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
"We can not be more Catholic than the Pope and as long as the involved in the court say it is politicized, that is what we say," the diplomat said.
Asked on Iran's readiness to cooperate with Lebanon to help resolve the problem of electricity, he said: "We are one of the first countries that have announced that the solution of this problem is very easy, we have established plants that produce hundreds of thousands of megawatts in various countries, and there is a joint agreement between Lebanon and Iran and we will cooperate once we deliver a solution to the routine and legal matters, then we can start implementing the projects.
He said that the potential energy is available to provide power in the fastest time and lowest cost.
Asked about the security situation in Lebanon and whether the region is moving towards escalation, Roknabadi assured on "good stability of the situation because the people are living in complete satisfaction and their daily lives goes normally and that indicates that the country is stable and security is sustained."
