Afghan expert said provoking Muslims in a bid to distance them from Islam is the key reason behind Qur’an burning incidents in Europe.
Ali Shah Faeq, in his speech at the meeting on “Reasons and Grounds behind Desecration of Holy Qur’an in Western Countries” held in Kabul condemned the latest Qur’an burning in Sweden that coincided with Israel’s onslaught against the West Bank city of Jenin, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Mohammad Juma, another participant in this meeting warned of the political and ideologic aspects of Islamophobia and said part of the hate speech against Muslims and desecration of Islamic sanctities, backed by the western governments means to slow down the increasing demography of Muslims in these countries.
He said,” Such measures will not only fail to prevent increase of Muslim population but also multiply the number of those embracing the holy religion.”
According to Mohammad Juma quoting the French daily Le Figaro, in a report on “increase in purchase of Qur’an” conducted following the desecration of Islam in France, confirmed that the data revealed a remarkable increase in online shopping of holy Qur’an through Amazon tech company.
He enumerated Islamophobia, desecration of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), holy Qur’an, Islamic hijab and also hate speech against religious jurists as manifestations of western hostility with Muslims.
