A senior Iranian cleric reiterated unity as a key issue in the world of Islam calling on the Islamic states to protect the deeply rooted ties among them in order to renovate the new Islamic civilization.
Mamusta Mamed Kalshinejad, prayer leader of Urmia, delivering speech at the 3rd Regional Islamic Unity Conference, referred to the issue of Palestine as the axis for unity among Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” When the Zionist Israeli regime was defeated by the resistance back in 2006, it hatched a plot to spark division among Islamic countries and waged proxy war in order to secure its presence in the region under the pretext of fighting terrorism.”
” Zionists did not make a specific achievement as a result of commanders like General Soleimani and the solidarity among the resistance groups” he said and added,” Then they began to promote extremism through satellite channels and Qur’an desecration.”
He said the world Muslims are following Ashura and the guiding lights while the west will fail in its seditions to fight Muslims by Qur’an burning.
Organized by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought the third regional Islamic Unity Conference discusses “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values”.
