The final communique of the Mecca conference has warned of the repercussions of Qur’an burning stressing importance of moderation.
More than 150 Muslim elites, muftis and Islamic organizations attended the Mecca conference warning of the repercussions of desecration of holy Qur’an, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also participated in the conference titled “Communications and Integration” held by Saudi Arabia.
Hissein Brahim Taha in his remarks said the conference was held regarding the numerous challenges ahead of the Islamic nation namely to tarnish the image of Islam.
He called on the Islamic countries to resist against the hostile movements and revive the concept of Islamic nation.
OIC Secretary General noted that the newly-launched section at the international Islamic organization will be in charge of promoting other cultures and civilizations.
