Representative of the religious guardian in the Hajj and pilgrimage organization stressed that there are some principles and obstacles in unity among Muslims.
Hojjatoleslam val-Moslemin “Abdolfatah Navab”, representative of the religious guardian in the Hajj and pilgrimage organization, in his speech at the webinar of 37th International Islamic Unity Conference noted that Muslims’ unity is a highly important and strategic issue in the world of Islam, reported Taghrib News Agency (TNA).
“One of the commonalities for unity is the divine book. Divine book has not been distorted. Divine book of certain religions is expressed in several ways; however, divine book of we Muslims is a single quotation and all Muslims unanimously agree on it”, he said.
He mentioned that there are many commonalties of Muslims and grounds and causes of unity but that’s not the case in other religions and added: “one of the principles of unity is that Islamic Ummah share common interest.”
“The second principle is moving towards becoming a pattern. Islam asks Muslims to set Prophet of Islam as their pattern. Try to be a model for others”, Navab continued.
He noted Hajj as the third principle and said: “Hajj is an axis of unity. All Muslims move in a single day and move around a house. Their prays, moves, and visits are unity making.”
“Another principle is dialogue. We should link to each other and have relations. We should keep dialogue and exchange views. These cause unity and solidarity”, representative of the religious guardian in the Hajj and pilgrimage organization added.
“The fifth principle is cognition and synergy. If Muslims know each other and know of their needs and the strong and weak points, they will serve each other better. Supreme Leader says any move helping us to know each other better is a strong point and strong points should be increased”, Abdolfatah Navab stated.
Challenges of unity among Muslims
Navab stressed that the most important challenge of unity is the cancerous tumor of usurper Zionist Regime, which was created at heart of the world of Islam by arrogance and said: “Zionist Regime itself wants to normalize relations with Muslims, while building up wall around itself.”
“The second factor which prevents unity is persistence on religious differences. This happens when somebody prefers the self over the other. We should appreciate each other and get united”, he added.
He noted the enemies’ investment and planning for division and prejudice and extremism as the third and fourth factor which prevents unity of Muslims. ”Daesh is factor of dispersion in the world of Islam.”
“The fifth preventing factor is insult and blasphemy. The Quran does not differ for their accents or suprasegmental features”, Abdolfatah mentioned.
He considered ethnicity as the sixth point and noted: “there are different ethnic groups in Islamic Republic of Iran: Turks, Kurds, Lors, Baloochs, Fars people and Arabs. All of them represent Islamic Republic of Iran and are brothers. They come from one part of the country and serve in another part of the country with friendship and understanding.”
"All Islamic countries should cooperate with each other. Othe countries should rush help to any country in need. All-out confrontation, with regional and global support, and conclusion of considerable economic and cultural contracts are effective in Islamic countries”, Abdolfatah Navab concluded.
