Sheikh Naim Qasim, Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah said:  We must emphasize the high Islamic values in our meetings and use the media to promote Islamic discourse to confront those who promote homosexuality and materialism and pursue a soft war against Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He added: the basic step towards the Islamic unity is that our countries do not take side of the enemy bloc; rather, stand together and cooperate with each other in all relationships.
 
Sheikh Naeem Qassim called the unity among Muslims one of the goals of Imam Khomeini (RA) and emphasized that there is no difference between Shia and Sunni in this issue.
 
Sheikh Qassim highlighted the issue of Palestine and added: We must announce that Israeli occupation of Palestine means occupation of all Isalmic lands, therefore, everyone must stand against the Zionist enemy.
 
The Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon further said: The Supreme Leader stressed that the issue of Palestinian rights will not be realized through international organizations and institutions, but through Palestinian resistance.
 
He stated that we must work to strengthen and consolidate the resistance of the Palestinian people and added: We must set the experience of the Islamic Republic of Iran as a role model in supporting the oppressed of the world.
 
Top Hezbollah official continued: the experience of Lebanon's resistance in 2000 and 2006 against the Zionist regime can be a model for resistance in the future.
" The  achievements of the Islamic Ummah have given the resistance a logical form and the axis of Islamic resistance can also bring good achievements to the world. 
 
Sheikh Naeem Qassem applauded the resumption of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia and emphasized that this relationship can bring positive results.
 
He pointed out that the cooperation between these two important countries in the region can lead to destruction of extremist movements.

The 37^th Islamic Unity Conference is underway in the capital Tehran as a number of Shia and Sunni scholars attend the webinars and the meeting to be held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought. This year the elites and religious figures attending the event discuss the theme “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values”.  The conference is held on 28^th September to 3^rd concurrent with the Islamic Unity Week which marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
