A senior Iranian Sunni scholar stressed that compassion and convergence among Muslim nations will eliminate tensions, as the missing link in the Islamic countries should be sought out of denominations.
Mamusta Abdul Salam Emami in his remarks at the opening ceremony of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference held on Sunday called compassion and convergence as key factors towards unity in the Islamic nation, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Friday prayer leader of Mahabad added,” This convergence, once prevailed among all Islamic countries, would eliminate tensions across the Muslim nation.”
He noted that the Almighty God has called the world people to maintain fraternity among themselves same way he has called the Islamic nations to maintain solidarity.
Top Iranian scholar offered sympathy with the people in Morocco and Libya following the devastating natural disasters that left thousands of people dead and injured.
He also extended condolences over the martyrdom of a number of people in terror attack targeting the participants at ceremony held for the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
The Iranian cleric expressed his views in an address to the 37th Islamic Unity Conference participated by more than 200 Muslim elites and prominent religious figures from across the world.
