Five Lebanese civilians were killed Thursday evening in a wave of Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple villages in southern Lebanon, the country's National News Agency has reported.

Israeli warplanes also carried out several aerial raids on other villages in southern Lebanon, according to the same source.
Tensions have been mounting on Lebanon's border with Israeli-occupied Palestine since the outbreak of the ongoing Israeli genocide campaign in the Gaza Strip on October 7.
