A number of Palestinian groups have called on the United Nations and the Red Cross to deploy observatory teams to hospitals in Gaza following Israeli allegations on presence of armed people at Gaza health centers.
The Palestinian groups have rejected, in their statement, the allegations by Israeli military spokesman regarding presence of gunmen at al-Rantisi Hospital, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The statement once again urged the UN and Red Cross to dispatch teams as part of efforts to protect hospitals and prevent distortion of the facts at Gaza hospitals.
Khalil al-Hayya member of Hamas resistance politburo earlier rejected the allegations by Israeli regime on presence of armed people at Gaza hospitals.
Israeli regime launched airstrike against Ahli al-Arab Baptist Hospital in the besieged Gaza Strip, killing at least 500 civilians as thousands of people were either seeking medical treatment or shelter at the hospital.
The Israeli warplanes also carried out several overnight raids against Al-Shifa, the main hospital in the besieged Gaza Strip under the pretext that members of the Hamas resistance movement were stationed at the medical center.
Also, Al-Rantisi Hospital, Indonesian Hospital, al-Quds and al-Awad Hospital have all come under heavy airstrikes by Israeli regime killing and injuring a number of those present there to receive medical help or seek shelter presuming that medical centers are safe from Israeli aggressions.
Doctors at Gaza hospitals have sent separate messages urging for medical aid and fuel amid the Israeli-imposed blockade that has been mainly threatening the lives of patients in intensive care units. They have warned that the hospitals are turning into graveyard for the Palestinian children and the newborns in need of incubators. Above all they have called for protection for the medics and paramedics amid their struggle to save people.
More than 11,200 Palestinians, majority of them children and women, have lost their lives as a result of Israeli escalation that followed the unprecedented Operation al-Aqsa Storm launched by Hamas resistance fighters on October 7th.
