The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has hailed the director of International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) over his clear and supportive stance for the Palestinians in Gaza.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his recent message addressing the IUMS director, expressed hope that his voice would reach those not woken up by the agony of the Palestinians under Israeli strikes, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” The Arab, Muslim and world liberal nations have mainly fulfilled the expectations but for the rest of the people, we hope you voice reaches them and the consciences that fallen asleep due to terror, treachery and hypocrisy will waken up and respond to calls for humanity.”
The Iranian cleric voiced support for the IUMS and stressed,” We also join you in supporting al-Aqsa Mosque and defending the Palestinians.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari sent the message following a speech by the director of IUMS addressing the rulers, nations, media and international organizations warning of the ongoing brutality in Gaza.
He condemned Israel for its “unparalleled savagery in history” that agonize the world people.
The message by senior Iranian cleric came over a month after Israel’s killing campaign against the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The incessant onslaughts that followed the October 7th operation al-Aqsa Storm by Hamas resistance fighters, have so far left nearly 11,500 people dead most of whom are children and women.
