Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, expressed regret for thousands of Palestinian children victimized by Israel’s brutal onslaughts against the besieged Gaza Strip calling the world countries for immediate action to save the lives of minors amid escalations.
In a message on X social media platform, Amir-Abdollahian wrote, the World Children’s Day, without an immediate and practical action by world countries, to save the Palestinian children, is a big deplorable tragedy, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He added,” Asserted by the Secretary General of the United Nations and clear evidences, Gaza has turned into a graveyard for children. More than 5,500 Palestinian children have been martyred in strikes by Zionist Israeli regime.”
The remarks by Iranian senior official came on the World Children’s Day on Monday November 20th that marked the 45th day of Israeli incessant atrocities against the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.
According to the latest figures, more than 13,000 Palestinians, the majority of them children and women, have lost their lives since the escalation by Israeli regime, following operation al-Aqsa Storm staged by Hamas resistance fighters on October 7th .
That as the United Nations children’s fund has warned against the alarming rate of child fatalities due to both Israeli onslaughts and the blockade of the Gaza Strip that prevented the flow of food, water, medical aids and fuel.
The UN agency for children also condemned the catastrophic situation of children amid displacement of an estimated 1.5 million people in the Gaza Strip, more than half of them children.
