In another part of this meeting, Dr Raisi said, “What has caused the suffering of humanity is unilateralism and the unjust world order, one of the manifestations of which can be seen in Gaza today”.
The President described the crimes committed by the usurping Zionist regime against the defenceless people of Gaza as genocide and a crime against humanity and added, “The martyrdom of more than 6,000 children by the criminal Zionist regime causes suffering and regret, but what is more unfortunate is that these crimes are supported by the United States and Western countries or it is faced with the silence and indifference of international organisations claiming human rights and shows their inefficiency”.
Referring to the fact that an oppressed child is martyred in Gaza every 10 minutes, Dr Raisi emphasised the need to stop the bombings and crimes against Palestinians in Gaza as soon as possible as the most important concern of the world today.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, while expressing his satisfaction with the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Moscow, stated, “The relations between the two countries are at the best level and we believe that with the support of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, these relations will become wider and more dynamic”.
The Russian President considered the impressive reception of Russian businesspeople to Iran's trade fairs and the 20% growth of trade between the two countries with a turnover of $5 billion over the past one year as an indication of Tehran-Moscow's determination to open a new chapter in relations and added, “Transportation, road and rail projects are being made with good progress between the two countries, and the previous cooperation between Iran and Russia in the energy sector is experiencing growing conditions”.
Putin also pointed out that the two countries shared views on regional issues, and discussed the issue of Palestine and Gaza as one of the axes of bilateral negotiations between Iran and Russia.
