Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, stressed that the blood and sacrifice of martyrs should be safeguarded since martyrs make the identity of Iranian nation.

Ayatollah Khamenei, in a meeting with members of the secretariat to mark ten thousand East Azerbaijan martyrs, held on December 6^th hailed the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan as the cradle of devotees and martyrs, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The Leader highlighted importance of frequent commemoration ceremonies to mark the heroism of martyrs whose outstanding morale and traits should be conveyed to the younger generation.
 
Ayatollah Khamenei hailed the martyrs as best role model for the youths and stressed that such brilliant people should be inscribed in memory of the Iranian nation saying,” Works of art including films, poetry and books should convey the morale and brilliant aspects of martyrs to the younger generation.”


The Leader noted,” The youths should learn the grounds for uprisings and movements before and after the Islamic revolution” and added,” Also they should know the reason for sacrifices they made after the Islamic revolution. If that happens, then the movement and morale of martyrs will be maintained.”
 
Ayatollah Khamenei praised Azerbaijan province as the outstanding character of Iran and hailed the martyrs from Iran’s Azerbaijan region since Imam Khomeini (RA) movement to present.
