At least 16 civilians have lost their lives in an overnight Israeli strike targeting a residence in Khan Younis and UNRWA school in the central Gaza Strip.

The sources reported that the Israeli military targeted a house in Khan Yunis sheltering a large number of displaced individuals, resulting in the tragic deaths of at least 12 civilians and injuries to 50 others with varying degrees of severity.

Furthermore, Israeli warplanes struck a UNRWA school in the Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, leading to the death of at least 4 individuals, including a woman.

The attack extended to the use of quadcopter drones firing intensively at homes and streets in the Maghazi camp.

Simultaneously, Israeli military aircraft executed a fiery assault near the Sekka street west of the camp, accompanied by intense artillery fire from Israeli forces stationed near the camp's entrance on Salah al-Din Street.

Simultaneously, eyewitnesses reported a fire breaking out east of the neighboring Nuseirat camp due to the sustained Israeli airstrikes.

Local sources also indicated that Israeli warplanes carried out fierce airstrikes on the Tel al-Zaatar area and the city of Deir al-Balah, resulting in casualties.

Concurrently, Israeli naval vessels heavily fired west of Deir al-Balah.
