Cleric calls for boycott of Israeli products, sever of ties with Tel Aviv in support of Palestine
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, speaking at the press briefing held ahead of the international conference on operation al-Aqsa Flood, decried the international and human rights organizations, the UN and the Security Council for falling short to fulfill their responsibilities towards the Palestinians in Gaza, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
According to the cleric the International Conference of Al-Aqsa Storm and Awakening of Human Conscience will be attended by Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi and more than 100 renowned scholars and officials from across the world of Islam.
He said,” More than seven decades of crimes by Israeli regime has led the Palestinian people to rise against the occupying regime” and expressed regret over the most brutal bombardment of the Palestinians in the blockaded enclave.
The senior cleric hailed the pro-Palestine rallies held across the globe to condemn Israeli crimes and noted that the religious figures have also found the necessity of joining the popular rallies to denounce the crimes by Tel Aviv regime forces.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari called those killed in Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza as a global awakening factor in the modern world order and noted,” Every drop of blood shed from the children and women is a proof on viciousness of the world arrogant powers.”
He warned the countries supporting Israel’s killing campaign in the besieged territories and called for an immediate end to the atrocities against the Palestinians in the blockaded enclave.
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought hailed the axis of resistance in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon for their support for the Palestinian resistance and the people in the face of Israeli atrocious war.
The senior Iranian cleric also highlighted the measures by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought including series of webinars on the theme of the operation al-Aqsa Flood attended by the Shia and Sunni elites from across the world of Islam.
He also referred to the books published on the topic of Palestine and also meetings held by its affiliate news agency TNA to discuss the issue of Palestine and operation al-Aqsa Flood.
