An Iranian university professor has highlighted the axes based on which women promote the objectives of resistance particularly in Palestine amid Israel’s genocidal war on the Gazans.
Zeinab Salami, university professor, Islamic researcher and activist, in her speech at the 16th webinar of al-Aqsa Storm on the theme “Roel of Women in Resistance and Palestine” stressed to raise a generation that will defend the ideals of Islamic resistance among the key roles played by Palestinian women in Gaza, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
She referred to the role of women in the history of Islam stressing the irreplaceable role of women in resistance particularly in Gaza and other cities across the Palestinian lands.
She noted that the world stands witness to glorious manifestation of women’s resistance in Gaza.
According to the Iranian researcher, the role of women in advancing the goals of the resistance front can be imagined in five important axes: production of the revolutionary generation, training of fighters, maintaining spiritual support for the fighters, effectively narrating the right side of the history for the future generations.
Fifth and last role taken by women is in the field of science, politics, cultural and social activities.
She hailed the Palestinian women for their spirit of faith that gives them strength to bury their children with their own hands without tears or complaint.
She concluded that the resistance front in Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Palestine would not make any achievements had it not been for the support by their women.
Zeinab Salami made the comments in her speech addressing the 16th edition of the Al-Aqsa Storm webinars held on Wednesday morning.
The 16th edition of the al-Aqsa Storm webinars as held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought was held on Wednesday as a number of female activists and thinkers expressed their views on the role of Palestinian women in more than seven decades of fight against occupation in the Palestinian lands.
