A US activist said the world community has not used human rights terminology for protecting the rights of women and children in Gaza as the Israeli atrocities leave thousands of civilians killed in the besieged Strip most of them women and children.
Marzieh Hashemi, Press TV host, speaking at the 16th webinar on Al-Aqsa Storm on the theme “Role of Palestinian Women in Islamic Resistance and Palestine” hailed the Palestinian women for showing courage in a span of more than seven decades since Nakba, stressing that they have kept their stories alive, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
She noted that the love of Palestinian children for their culture, religion and ancestral land is alive as ever due to the stories they have hear from their mothers.
“It was the strength and belief that transferred the values that kept the Palestinian alive today otherwise they would have gone line other occupied societies into pages of history” said the American Muslim convert and added that the main cause for this achievement is in Palestinian women and the way they bring up their children.
She said,” What is happening inside Palestine and across the globe is a revolution as people are awakening due to the strength they see in the Palestinian women.”
She added that the behavior, respect and strength of the Palestinian women break all the lies which have been created over the years showing the women in the region as oppressed.
Marzieh Hashemi said the Palestinian women are shown as role models for resistance, motherhood and many other professions hailing their dedication when they deny to leave their duties even under Israeli bombardment.
She concluded that the Palestinian women are certain that either winning the war or being martyred, they would be the eventual winner stressing that a role model for all women to follow.
American activist and TV host made the remarks at the 16th meeting in a series of webinars held on al-Aqsa Storm on Wednesday morning.
The 16th edition of the al-Aqsa Storm webinars as held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought was held as a number of female activists and thinkers expressed their views on the role of Palestinian women in more than seven decades of fight against occupation in the Palestinian lands.
