Syrian Ambassador in Lebanon, Ali Abd al-Karim Praised the previous positions of the Maronite Patriarch Beshara Al-Ra'i about what is happening in Syria, describing his positions by "responsible and deep" that deserve the praise, and that it is an expression of intellectual, political and national vision, balanced and responsible with the role of the church which he represent in the face of the conspiracy that targeted the entire region, and which also reflect the opinion of the Vatican.
Syrian Ambassador confirmed to "Al-Nour" Radio today, that what concer Syria is that the Lebanese government succeed and lead a role to achieve the demands of its people, pointing out that Syria's relationship with the Premier Najib Mikati is good as also the lines of communication between the leaders of the two countries exist.
In terms of the situation in Syria, He said that "The plot hatched against his country is not new, and Syria is accustomed to face the siege and to overcome it, adding: "We are strong on the economic level and we have self-sufficient enough to ensure the needs of citizens and no economic sanctions can affect us".
And pointed on the other hand, that the Syrians at home and abroad do not accept of their decision to be dependent on the outside, except a few isolated exceptions which is seeking abroad and consent on foreign intervention, and the armed manifestations that have occurred in some cities and the Syrian governorates do not represent the Syrian street because the ambushes, bombings and murder does not reflect the peaceful protests, but the legitimate demonstrations are few and incorporated and welcomed.
About the Russian position, the Syrian ambassador in Lebanon stressed that Moscow recognizes the facts according to the reports which shows that the majority of Syrian people wrapped around the reforms and President Assad, and so it is betting on a strong Syria by its cohesive military institution and the popular rallying around the leadership.
About Turkey's attitude towards Syria, Syria's ambassador said that "Ankara need to re-read the relationship with Syria, as its inside relationship which is being faced by internal crises so it do not have the right to give lessons in time when the circumstances impose on it to decrease its tone, adding that "Syria has its own will and position, and we do not want to sour the relationship between the two countries.
