Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has carried out new operations targeting Israeli military positions in retaliation for the regime’s genocidal war on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The group struck a gathering of Israeli soldiers at al-Tayhat Hill, facing the southern Lebanese village of Meiss Ej Jabal, in the predawn hours of Monday with a barrage of missiles and artillery shells, according to a Hezbollah statement run by Lebanon’s Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television news channel.
The projectiles hit the designated targets precisely and caused material damage in the area. There were no immediate reports about possible casualties.
The statement added that the operation came in support of Palestinians in Gaza and in response to Israeli attacks on southern Lebanese villages and residential buildings.
Hezbollah also announced on Sunday evening that its fighters had targeted a building housing Israeli soldiers in the illegal settlement of Metula.
The Lebanese resistance movement added it had hit a gathering of Israeli soldiers near Branit barracks with rocket-propelled grenades.
Moreover, Hezbollah targeted the Ruwaisat al-Alam site in the occupied Kfarchouba Hills with artillery shells.
In retaliation for the Israeli military’s attacks on southern Lebanese villages, the resistance fighters also targeted a building housing Israeli soldiers in the settlement of al-Manara.
