Pakistani Foreign Minister has hailed Islamic Republic of Iran for supporting the Palestinian nation as commendable.

"The Islamic world appreciates the role played by the Islamic Republic of Iran to solve common challenges," said Ishaq Dar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.

The remark was made at a meeting of the two senior officials upon Iranian president’s arrival in the capital Islamabad.

Heading a high-ranking political-economic delegation, Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi arrived in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan on Monday morning.

"The government and the people of Pakistan are looking forward to your visit and we are proud to host you," the Pakistani Foreign Minister said.

Iranian president was officially welcomed by Pakistani Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
 
President Raeisi is set to meet with Pakistani top officials and also economic elites and scholars.
