The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has vowed that any Israeli attack on Rafah in southern Gaza Strip will have serious consequences.
The resistance movement has also vowed that its fighters are fully prepared to defend the city now sheltering more than half of the 2.4 million population of the besieged Gaza Strip.
Hamas said, in its Monday statement that any military operation against Rafah will not be a ‘picnic’ for the Israeli forces adding,” Our valiant resistance, led by al-Qassam Brigades, is fully prepared to defend our people.”
The Palestinian movement also called on the international bodies to take urgent action to stop the regime’s anticipated invasion against Rafah warning that any such invasion against the city will endanger the lives of thousands of civilians including women, children and the elderly.
The reaction by Hamas resistance movement came after the Israeli regime published fliers ordering the Palestinians in the eastern parts of Rafah to evacuate the city signaling that the regime forces will conduct a ground operation.
More than seven months of brutal attacks and killing campaigns in the besieged territory has left more than 34, 800 civilians killed, most of them women and children.
Over 78,000 others are also injured and another 11,000 remain unaccounted for, presumed to be trapped under the rubble.
