Head of the National Wisdom Movement in Iraq said the all-out support of the west has emboldened Israeli regime in committing crimes against Palestinians.
Sayyed Ali Fadlallah, in an address to the second International Islamic unity conference in Baghdad, stressed necessity of Islamic unity in face of the issues challenging the Palestinian nation, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He noted the most brutal crimes, massacre and seizure of the Gaza Strip and said the crimes committed by Israeli regime are completed with its raids and violence in the West Bank and Jerusalem al-Quds.
The Iraqi scholar said Israeli regime does not see a descent life for the Palestinian people and added,” Clearly the west’s support for Israel has emboldened the regime for committing more crimes.”
He said,” The all-out support of the west lies in military, security, economy and politics even in rising against those who intend to defend against the Israeli atrocities.”
Sheikh Ali Fadhlallah said,” Some states have risen against their own nations in defense of the Israeli regime, the nations whose humanitarian views have pushed them to rise against the Israeli regime.”
The Friday prayer leader of Beirut noted,” Such countries would naturally take such stances as they see the Israeli regime as part of their strategy in the region as the US president Joe Biden called Israeli regime as part of its national security.”
He expressed regret over disunity of the Arab and Islamic countries in defense of the Palestinian nation and said,” The Islamic Republic of Iran has been a staunch supporter of the Palestinians and was under pressure owed to the same support for Palestine.”
Sayyed Ali Fadhlallah lauded the popular support and rallies held in support of the Palestinian nation and said,” There will be no peace in the world as far as a nation is oppressed.”
He called all people to stand by the Palestinian nation and stressed that the bloodshed of the civilians in Gaza will not be in vain.
The senior Shia cleric made the remarks at the second Islamic unity conference organized by Iraq’s al-Rebat al-Mohammadi Scholars’ Council in the capital Baghdad.
A number of Shia and Sunni scholars from across the world of Islam exchanged views on the key issues in the world of Islam in the second international Islamic unity conference entitled “Al-Aqsa Flood, Issues and Identity”.
