In Baghdad final communique:

Muslim clerics stress international probe into Israeli crimes in Gaza

Participants to the second International Islamic Unity Conference urged the world community to lodge complaint at the International Criminal Court and investigation into Israeli crimes in the besieged Gaza Strip.


The prominent Shia and Sunni clerics attending the second international Islamic unity conference on “Al-Aqsa Flood, Issues and Identity” in Baghdad, called on the Muslim scholars, elites and thinkers to initiate ways for supporting the resistance and struggle for materializing unity in the world of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The participants, in the final communique of the event, stressed that the mandatory mission for Muslims is to struggle with all possible means to end the crimes by Israeli regime.
 
The scholars emphasized the plans for boosting Islamic unity and vowed to cooperate with all Islamic governments and organizations for materializing solidarity among Muslims.
 
The Muslim clerics also hailed the Islamic Republic of Iran for constant support for the resistance axis and reiterated their support for the retaliatory Operation True Promise against the Israeli positions in the occupied lands. They approved the right to defense which created deterrence capability for the Islamic nation in order to defend the oppressed against the oppressor.
 
The final communique also called the Palestine cause as an issue that unifies the world of Islam and stresses that any ignorance of the oppression against Palestinian nation is betrayal to the Islamic nation.
 
The participants to the international conference in Baghdad urged for an immediate siege of the Gaza Strip, sending humanitarian aid for Gazans, reopening of the crossings to send the aid into the besieged strip as well as freedom of the detainees under observation of the United Nations.
 
The communique continues,” Political and media support for the issue of Palestine, unveiling of the normalization deals with Israeli regime and explaining the repercussions of the deal are responsibility upon all honorable people.
 
The participants to the conference stressed necessity of efforts to defend the issue of Palestine in the international arenas and revealing the brutality and atrocities of the Israeli regime and also informing the younger generation on the issue of Palestine.
 
The scholars urged the International Criminal Court to investigate into the crimes committed by Israeli regime following the operation al-Aqsa Flood that has revealed Israeli  war crimes, massacre and genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
The communique emphasized that the only way to prevail stability in Palestine and in the region is an immediate end to Israeli occupation of the Palestinian lands and western interference in the region.
 
The participants also hailed the awakened nations across the globe for the pro-Palestine rallies and condemnation of Israeli crimes and lauded any popular mobilization in solidarity with the issue of Palestine.
 
The final communique of the second International Islamic Unity Conference held by Iraq’s al-Rebat al-Mohammadi Scholars Council was issued on Wednesday after the Shia and Sunni participants exchanged views on the topic of the meeting “Al-Aqsa Flood, Issues and Identity”.
