The leader of Nigeria’s Shia community hailed the Islamic revolution in Iran, led by late Imam Khomeini (RA), for awakening the world people and changing their minds.
Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, speaking at the webinar on “Unity Discourse in View of Imam Khomeini” held by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought stressed the continuity of the ideology of Imam Khomeini that supports the oppressed nations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He referred to the US pro-Palestine campus protests and the letter by the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei addressing the protesting students and said,” All these developments reveal that the ideology of Imam Khomeini continues to exist.”
He added that the Islamic Revolution in Iran changed the minds of world people like what happened in the Philippines, Haiti and Nicaragua.
The Nigerian Shia cleric noted that Iraq, Syria and Yemen followed the thoughts of Imam Khomeini (RA) in their fight against Israeli regime and the achievement of all these clashes belong to the late founder of Islamic revolution.
Sheikh Zakzaky noted that the global equation of power has now changed and that the two eastern and western blocs are aware that an Islamic bloc also exists.
