UN blacklists Israeli army to groups committing “grave violations”

The United Nations has added Israeli army to “parties that commit grave violations affecting children in situation of armed conflict” after over eight months of genocidal war killing mainly women and children in the besieged Gaza Strip.


According to the report, grave violations against children in the occupied Palestinian territories have increased by 155%.

The report says there were 7,837 violations against 4,247 Palestinian children in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and East Jerusalem. It noted that these violations were perpetrated by the Israeli army and illegal Israeli settlers.

It further emphasizes that the Israeli army and security forces were responsible for nearly 5,700 violations against Palestinian children.

The report added that Israeli forces have detained 906 Palestinian children and that the UN has information about the minors being subjected to ill-treatment and sexual abuse.

The report also condemned Israeli armed forces for obstructing Palestinians children's access to humanitarian aid in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and East Jerusalem.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated in the report, "I am shocked by the unprecedented number of children killed and maimed by the Israeli army and security forces in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem."

The Israeli atrocities has killed more than 37,000 Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip since October 7, the majority of whom children and women.

The regime is also responsible for nearly 85,000 people injured some of them children who have been maimed for life.
