Taghribnews (TNA) - Iran Calls for Lifting Sanctions to Protect Rights of Disabled Patients

Ali Mohammad Qadri, Head of Iran's State Welfare Organization' in his speech at the United Nations said that West sanctions against Iran, targetted disabled communities and it is against the basic rights of people around the world.

Ghaderi emphasized that sanctioning Iran's disabled community violates human rights standards. Despite Iran's efforts to support the rights of persons with disabilities through implementing laws, enhancing social inclusion, providing vocational training, and ensuring accessibility in physical and digital environments, the impact of sanctions has been detrimental.

Measures to Enhance Services for Persons with Disabilities
Iran has implemented various measures to improve services for persons with disabilities, such as:
Reserving 3% of employment quotas in executive bodies for disabled individuals
Providing vocational training, health insurance coverage for over 50 services, affordable transportation, education, and rehabilitation services
Establishing vocational centers offering diverse training and support irrespective of ethnicity, religion, age, or gender
